Psychotheraputic Approach

  • When clients take the time to come to therapy, it is important to know what to expect.

  • Face to face therapy is when the client comes into the office. My office is welcoming and designed for clients to feel comfortable and safe for us to do the work we need to do.

  • Session last 60 minutes generally, but some sessions can be longer when requested.

  • My framework for therapy is CBT and ACT modalities, however I also use many others like Informed IFS, EFT, Informed DBT, Grief Therapy and many others.

  • Communication between the therapist and client is critical. I have a secure client portal for us to be able to have that communication, knowing that our conversations through messaging are confidential.

Online Services

Online services, also called Telehealth, is an option many choose to take advantage of.  Telehealth was necessary to continue therapy during the pandemic, but many have chosen to continue to access therapy this way.  It offers convenience and can be a time saver from having to drive to appointments.  For some, it is also a comfort level in being able to be in your own home and receive therapy services.  You’ll need a good internet connection and either your laptop or phone.  You’ll also need a private space where you feel comfortable to talk.  Telehealth visits should not happen when you are driving or if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  I’ll send the link through your email to connect with me.  Confidentiality is secure on my end with our HIPAA compliant connection.

Workshops/Groups

Perhaps there is a group or workshop you’d like presented or help with. I offer specialized groups and workshops ranging in topics like:

Leadership-Knowing how to manage people is different than knowing how to lead. Knowing who and what kind of people you are leading is instrumental in knowing how to approach them.

Professional Burnout- Lately, it feels like the working world is using words like self-care, relieve stress, and avoid burnout to employees, but has done little to help us work towards these goals by having us work longer hours, with more work, and inflexible timelines=more stress, burnout, and lack of self-care. It feels a little like gaslighting. When we don’t succeed, it feels like blaming the victim or like we could not handle it when in reality we are choosing not to carry it all (there’s a difference). How can we right this ship within our own lives? Whether you work in the corporate or entrepreneur environment, the information can be tailored to fit.

Loss- Losing someone or thing that is dear to us is difficult. There are groups of people who can collectively suffer a loss and grieve together which can be powerful, healing, and helpful. Giving groups of people ways to grieve separately is important too. This workshop could be done with the group or with leaders of a group to plan how to facilitate a gathering that addresses loss.

Being Female in America-Being female in America can be full of societal, family, and personal expectations. They are everywhere we turn, messages of how we should act, look, think, feel, be. This workshop could address messages we receive, but the focus would also be on who we are and what we/you want to become.

Understanding Systems- There are a number of systems that rule an individual’s world. A few might include schools, family, business, work, and religion. Understanding a system’s form and function can be helpful to people in how to live within a system while not giving away themselves to it.

Parenting- Parenting is a challenging job if you are trying. This workshop would be gaged to age and information needed to work with a group around a determined parenting issue.

Sarah Reichert is a Death Café host. Death Café is a forum where people can openly talk about death in hopes it increases their awareness of living. There is no agenda. The forum is open. Tea and cake will be served. There is no intention of leading anyone to any conclusion, product, or course of action. It is free and open to the public. Death Café is not a grief support group. We meet monthly at Three Sisters Community Space in Red Wing, MN. We will meet each month on the third Wednesday.
