About
My background is in Clinical Social Work, licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I’ve received undergraduate degrees from the College of St. Benedict and a Masters of Science and Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My 25 year career has brought me experience in Minnesota’s school systems, private family practice, and corporate health care. Two years ago I embarked on my own practice in Red Wing, MN.
Some of the modalities I use include CBT, ACT, Informed IFS and DBT, EFT, Grief Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and others. Together, depending on the need, this wide range of modality use allows me to shift and flow between to best meet each client where they are at.
I’ve found working in private practice allows me more time to work on treatment ideas, research, and coordinate with clients. Most importantly to you, it allows me more availability to get clients in and be seen when needed.
About my practice,
about me,
I’m currently a volunteer at Red Wing’s CARE Clinic where I work on the board for mental health services.
I facilitate a monthly Death Cafe in Red Wing, MN. See the link on this website for more information.
When I’m not working, I’m probably gardening, skiing, or helping my husband in his many pottery projects. I live in Red Wing with my husband and our three grown children.
